ASCOT ALES DELIVER IN STYLE

The only way to deliver beer to the 2nd Ascot
Racecourse Beer Festival is by horse-drawn dray!

Local microbrewery ‘Ascot Ales’ delivered their beers
to Ascot Racecourse in true style by horse drawn dray
ready for the festival. ‘It made perfect sense’ says
Suzanne Gill owner, ‘what better way to deliver beers
from Ascot Ales to Ascot Racecourse Beer Festival than
by a traditional horse-drawn dray?’The 2nd Ascot Racecourse Beer Festival at the end of
September in association with CAMRA, showcases around
130 beers, perries and ciders, many from the local
area, with Ascot Ales having 6 of their ales
featured. ‘We were delighted to be asked to brew
a “festival special” says Chris Gill owner &
brewer, ‘we’ve called it ‘On The Rails’ to tie in with
the festival and to give it a horse racing theme’. ‘On
The Rails’ is a smooth drinking dark ale with a
sophisticated blend of malts combined with a
distinctive hop character and at 3.8% ABV it’s a
perfect session beer.

Ascot Ales, is an award winning microbrewery based in
Camberley, Surrey. They started brewing in June 2007
and have already won accolades for their beers
especially their Anastasia’s Exile Stout which recently
won Gold for Best Stout at Reading Beer Festival in
May. Their beers can be found on draught in local free
houses and in bottles from Budgens on Ascot High Street
and local Waitroses, Wine Racks and Threshers.
