| Batemans, the Lincolnshire based brewery and retailer, has recently received the BII (the professional body for the licensed retail industry), accreditation for its code of practice ‘Eyes Wide Open’. Batemans’ ‘Profit Partnership’ division is built on trust between the Brewery and its tenants and its code of practice sets out in clear and concise terms what the tenants and prospective tenants can expect from the Brewery, and clarifies exactly what the Brewery expects in return.
Steve Howe, BII’s Director of Membership says: “I am delighted that Batemans’ Code of Practice has been accredited by the BIIBAS Benchmarking Committee. This is a rigorous process and Batemans joins only four other, larger breweries and pub companies, to have attained this status. The benchmarking committee of industry experts scrutinise and cross examine every detail of the code to ensure the business offer is clear and they were very impressed with both the comprehensive nature of the code and also the cooperative way in which the process was conducted.” Rob Jones, Batemans Profit Partnership Director says: “We believe our tenancy agreement is one of the fairest in the industry and we strive to build genuine long term relationships with our Partners. We are particularly proud of the fact that our Managing Director, Stuart Bateman, wrote it, rather than an external consultancy, illustrating that ‘Eyes Wide Open’ is a straightforward reflection of the transparent relationship we already have with our publicans” |
