Darwin’s Origin

| Salopian Brewery of Shrewsbury has launched Darwin’s Origin in honour of one of the town’s most famous sons. Charles Darwin was born at the Mount House, Shrewsbury on the 12th February 1809. Darwin went on to become one of the most influential naturalists with his publication of On the Origin of Species in 1859. Darwin’s Origin ABV 4.3% has been brewed to celebrate the bi centennial of his birth in 2009 and will tie in with events to celebrate his life and work in Shrewsbury in 2009. The beer is described as a copper coloured ale that evolves with a pronounced hop character which is balanced by a refined malt finish.
