Lia Fail and Ossian reach the Arctic Circle

People in northern Norway now have the opportunity to savour Perth-based Inveralmond Brewery’s flagship bottled beers. For the first time, Lia Fail and Ossian are available at nearly 70o north in the city of Tromsø and surrounding areas.

Made available by Inveralmond’s Norwegian distributor, beer lovers in the Arctic Circle have been quick to praise: “We were very happy to find two ales from Inveralmond at one of our local beer outlets,” said Rune Hagen, an Associate Professor at the University of Tromsø. He continued “Lia Fail is perfect for the dark season here in Tromsø (no sun until 21st January next year), rich in roasted malt with the warming taste of caramel and dark chocolate and the delicious bitter ending.”

Commenting on the development, Inveralmond’s Managing Director, Fergus Clark, said “I am thrilled that our brewery can provide beer drinking pleasure to the people of northern Norway. Our beers are popular across the Nordic region, and we would like to think that a certain Mr S Claus may be fortifying himself for the month ahead with a bottle of two of Ossian or Lia Fail!”
