He is leaving SIBA after 18 months in the job to concentrate on developing his business which produces newspapers and magazines for corporate clients. A former Fleet Street and BBC journalist, Michael was one of the four founders of the Campaign for Real Ale. He said: “I have thoroughly enjoyed my time working with the only expanding sector of the brewing industry at a time when traditional beer is back on the way up.” Julian Grocock, chief executive of SIBA, said: “Michael started working with SIBA shortly before I took up my duties, and I am grateful that with his assistance and expertise we have been able to lay some pretty solid foundations to establish SIBA’s industry and media profile and influence. “I wish him the very best for his ongoing projects and hope to enjoy his excellent company over a pint or two on many future occasions.” |
