No Labelling Required for Isinglass

| It has now been confirmed that isinglass is not required to be labelled under EU allergen labelling regulations. The dossier that was submitted by BFBi and The Brewers of Europe in support of the argument for non-labelling of isinglass was considered by the European Food Safety Authority as providing sufficient objective scientific evidence to justify the decision. The project culminating in the submission of the dossier was jointly funded by the isinglass industry and the European brewers with scientific input from the top allergy specialists in the world. Invaluable support was provided throughout the course of the project by the BFBi, The Brewers of Europe, BBPA, BRI and the isinglass manufacturers.Â
