Okells will be featured alongside several other regional brewers from across Britain at the 2008 Liverpool Beer Festival, which will be held at the Metropolitan Cathedral Crypt from 14th to the 16th of February. Tickets are already sold out for this hugely popular event that takes place each year. Okells will be giving customers a chance to taste their winter seasonal brew, Aile Smoked Celtic Porter, which at 4.5%, this dark porter is certain to warm your insides on a cold blustery day. Okells will also showcase Dr. Mike Cowbourne’s latest creation, Dr. Okell’s Eastern Spice. This brew was introduced at the end of 2007 and has had extremely positive feedback from trailing both on the Isle of Man and in the UK. This unique ale sees the final brew infused with chilli, ginger and coriander to give the light coloured ale a full flavour and surprising aftertaste. Both of these beers can be found at select pubs across the Island, while supplies last. As Okells continues to grow in the UK, so to, are consumers across the Island realising the quality and perception the UK customers are having towards Okells seasonal brews and the exceptional beer the Isle of Man is producing. Dr. Mike Cowbourne will visit the Liverpool Beer Festival in February to speak to the UK consumer and get feedback on his latest creation.
