BATEMANS XXXB NOW IN MARKS AND SPENCERS COOK!™ CHICKEN Recipe, AS WELL AS THEIR BEEF PIES

Batemans XXXB (Triple XB), the award-winning flagship ale of the independent family brewer based in Lincolnshire, has once again been selected in the development of a Cook!™ range product supplied exclusively to Marks and Spencer. The new Cook!™ Chicken product joins the Freshcook’s Beef Pie which also uses Batemans XXXB, and has been selling steadily since 2006. This new chicken product is now available through Marks and Spencer stores across the UK and Ireland and carries the Batemans logo on the outer packaging.

Freshcook Ltd uses only first-class raw materials, developed into market leading products by skilled Chefs and the M&S Cook! ™ range is prepared ready for the oven, giving each product that delicious ‘just cooked’ flavour and texture. The Cook! Chicken product features tender British chicken breasts topped with a creamy Davidstow™ cheddar gratin served on a bed of brown cap mushrooms and fresh spinach. It incorporates Batemans XXXB within the base of the gratin.

David Swallow, Commercial Manager, Freshcook Ltd says:
“Batemans XXXB complements this dish beautifully creating a perfect balance with mature Davidstow™ cheddar and underlines our commitment to the use of superb ingredients. Today, more than ever, consumers value real food that is free-from needless additives and appreciate good food prepared using traditional methods.”

Jaclyn Bateman, marketing director of Batemans Brewery says:
“We are really pleased to be working with Freshcook again. The profile that we receive in Marks & Spencer for our regional, family-run brewery is a fantastic way of introducing the Batemans brand to many new customers. To have two different product-lines incorporating XXXB within the Marks & Spencer Cook! ™ range in all M&S’s prestigious food halls is an accolade of which we at Batemans Brewery are all very proud.”
