Batemans Increases Its Export Markets

Despite the economic downturn, Batemans, the Lincolnshire based independent brewer and retailer, has continued to increase its bottled beers sales enjoying growth of over 18% during 2008. This places*Batemans 10th in the volume league of the UK premium bottled ale suppliers, regardless of its relatively small size. (*Source AC Neilsen). The family-run Brewery has also greatly improved its profile internationally and has recently entered ten new markets including; Australia, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, North America, Norway, Russia, Scandinavia and Spain.

Interestingly different nationalities seem to prefer different brands, though Batemans classic bitter and flagship brand Triple XB is a favourite in all export markets, additional beers vary from country to country, with Batemans Strong Pale Victory Ale a great favourite in Russia.

Mike Morris of Sovereign Beverage who handles international distribution on behalf of Batemans says; “The importers we are working with are delighted with the quality and tradition offered by Batemans beers and we are seeing repeat orders for larger quantities in all of the export markets.

Jaclyn Bateman, Batemans marketing and export director says;

“It’s good to see that the popularity of our beers that have been growing year on year in the UK are now winning the hearts and minds of our international neighbours. We look forward to welcoming more world-wide beer lovers to the Batemans brand during 2009 and beyond”.
