Sustainable Communities Act Public Meeting in Lewes

PLEASE COME ALONG TO SUSTAINABLE COMMUNITIES ACT PUBLIC MEETING IN LEWES ON 27TH MAY

Date and time: Wednesday 27th 2009, 7:30pm to 9:30pm
Venue: Lewes Town Hall, High St, Lewes, BN7 2QS
Speaker: Steve Shaw – National Co-ordinator of the Local Works coalition

This meeting has been organised by Lewes District Council as part of their efforts to gain ideas from residents to be put forward to government under the new Sustainable Communities Act.

Steve Shaw, who will be running the meeting, co-ordinated the 5 year campaign that saw the Act made law. He is the expert on how the Act works and how you can use it to do things like save post offices, local shops and pubs, promote renewable energy, increase democratic participation, change planning rules etc.

Please come to this meeting and hear all about the Act, how it works and to put forward your ideas!

-This meeting is only for residents of the Lewes District Council area.
-This is a public meeting – it is free and no booking is required.
