Wye Valley Brewery bucks pub closure trend!

Wye Valley Brewery is pleased to announce purchase of The Cavalry Arms in Malvern.

The Cavalry Arms has had a chequered history but as the brewery has shown from past acquisitions, it has an excellent reputation for creating good local community pubs.

Wye Valley Brewery tenants are treated fairly and are able to earn the rewards of their own hard work.

The pub will be renamed ‘The Morgan’ which relates to the close geographical relationship between Wye Valley Brewery and the famous Morgan Motor Co, who are this year celebrating their Centenary Year.

Said Vernon Amor, Managing Director of Wye Valley Brewery, ‘At Wye Valley Brewery we are passionate about pubs: they are a vital part of our community and heritage. The pub is the only place which sells our national drink, cask conditioned beer. Despite depressing headlines in the media about the economy and with 40 pubs closing each week, we see this as an ideal time to invest for the long term future. We intend to re-name the pub as ‘The Morgan’.’

The opening date of The Morgan has not yet been announced.
