AMBERFEST: Amber Valley Real Ale Festival

Amber Ales, Ripley’s award winning microbrewery, are hosting the second AMBERFEST beer festival at the brewery, towards the end of July (Thurs 23rd- Sat 25th, 12 midday – 11pm every day).

The event celebrates new and unusual ales from Amber and other leading micro-breweries, probably including Marble (Manchester) and Thornbridge (Bakewell) plus others.

Since its launch in 2006, Amber Ales has put locally produced ales on the map, winning many awards at a local and national level.
The flagship beers are all named after Amber Valley Local Heroes including Barnes Wallis IPA, Outrams Bitter and Samuel Slater American Amber Ale.
The festival sees the some more of the ‘botanic-ales’, launched at Amberfest I in June – ales brewed and flavoured with unusual ingredients such as a chilli infused pale ale, a chocolate orange stout and a strawberry blonde. New variants this time include rose petal blonde and raspberry hefferweizen.
