Nottinghamshire based microbrewery Springhead is celebrating a successful start to the financial year and has, despite the recession, achieved its best sales ever.
Springhead’s beer sales during the three months from March to May 2009 are up 65% compared with the same period in 2008 and representing a significant growth.
The brewery has pulled out all the stops to work with its customers and ensure they get the best service possible. Owner Helen Teasdale comments: “Times are tough in the industry at the moment and everyone needs to work hard to give their business a fighting chance. We are great believers in delivering not just great beers but also the highest level of customer service possible, which at the moment can really make the difference when customers are choosing who to buy from. This has been fundamental in not only retaining customers but also increasing our volume of sales and ultimately achieving such outstanding record figures.”
JD Wetherspoon and Waverley TBS are two of the brewery’s biggest customers and have both increased orders with Springhead this year. Roy Silsby, Cask Beer Manager for Waverley TBS comments; “As the UK’s leading wholesaler of cask ale we are committed to offering our customers the highest level of service possible and working with like minded companies such as Springhead enables us to do that. They are producing some great beers but also understand that a product will only work if it is combined with a service of the same quality.”
