Since their inception in 1932 the history of Sheffield Tigers shows a club with strong, traditional values where people of all ages are encouraged to come and enjoy rugby and strive for success. Strong values have been matched by high aspirations leading to notable achievements on the field with three Twickenham appearances resulting in two victories and three promotions. Off the field investment in resources at the clubhouse and playing facilities continue to attract high calibre players at first team and all other levels.

As the new season in National League Three North begins the club can announce further investment in the form of Maria Jeffery as their new marketing manager who will be working to develop promotional and sponsorship activity.  Maria, working with Director of Rugby Richard Senior, has already been busy in the close season agreeing a new three year sponsorship arrangement with Thornbridge brewery from nearby Bakewell.

“We had heard about the awards the beers from Thornbridge have won and thought their approach to quality and success very much reflected our own” says Richard Senior. A feeling reciprocated by Brewery Director Simon Webster “We feel we have a real synergy with Tigers and we are excited  to be linked to the club as we open our new brewery and Tigers launch a new promotion push”. The sponsorship will mean that Thornbridge beers will be available at the Tiger’s clubhouse and also the launch of a Tigers beer. “We are looking at a joint programme of marketing activity with Thornbridge” reports Maria “that will deliver a memorable and enjoyable experience for all fans visiting the club”.
