Purity Brewing Co. will be stocking the official beer tent at the 2009 Stratford-upon-Avon Festival of Food.
The festival takes place on the recreation ground opposite the town’s Royal Shakespeare Theatre from Friday 25th to Sunday 27th September.
Purity, based near Alcester, Warwickshire, will be serving casks and bottles of its brands – Pure Gold, Pure UBU and Mad Goose, as well as two imported brands, Veltins Pilsner and Maisel’s Weiss Beer – ensuring that festival visitors get to enjoy premium ales alongside the culinary delights on offer.
Paul Halsey, Purity’s Managing Director, said: “I’m delighted that Purity is attending the Stratford-upon-Avon Festival of Food. The whole event is about high quality produce, making this a perfect setting to showcase our range of premium ales. So here’s to a weekend of good weather, great food and quality beers.”
Julie Bennett, from Stratford-upon-Avon Festival of Food, added: “The level of interest being shown in this year’s event is very exciting and the range and number of traders who have booked (double that of 2007) really reflects this. We have been encouraging as many local businesses as possible to take part and we are really pleased that Purity, a very popular exhibitor in 2007, has agreed to be with us again.”
The 2009 Stratford-upon-Avon Festival of Food promises to be bigger and better than previous years and includes a number of demonstrations from local business people and hotel chefs, as well as celebrity chef Aldo Zilli and local personality Alan Coxon. Visitors will also get the opportunity to taste a wide range of delicacies and culinary delights from both local and national producers.
