New brewery opening day

Over 150 guests celebrated the opening of Thornbridge’s new £2m brewery at Riverside, Bakewell. The new brewery, which will greatly increase production, is capable of producing a range of cask and bottled beers for the UK and export markets.   

The opening ceremony was conducted by Jim Harrison, Thornbridge’s MD and Garrett Oliver, Head Brewer of New York’s Brooklyn Brewery and one of the world’s leading beer experts. Garrett congratulated Thornbridge on their success to date with their award winning beers and said he felt the highly skilled brewing team would reap the benefits of the quality investment in new equipment and go on to greater success.
