Thornbridge brewery was delighted when they were approached by Matthew Walkers, the world’s oldest Christmas pudding maker, to supply their Saint Petersburg Stout for their prestige Christmas Pudding.  Heralded as ‘the perfect Christmas pudding recipe’, The Pudding uses a traditional blend of 13-core ingredients, providing the ideal balance of nuts, vine fruits and, of course, Thornbridge’s Saint Petersburg. The 13-core ingredients that go into every pudding, historically represent Jesus and his twelve apostles; and a tradition that dates back to Victorian times.

“We were aware of Matthew Walker’s reputation for quality Christmas Puddings” says Thornbridge’s Director Simon Webster “and we knew they prided themselves on  sourcing the very best ingredients from around the world so for them to choose our Saint Petersburg Stout to complete the traditional recipe was a great accolade”. The Stout has also recently been awarded a Silver Medal in the International Bottled Beer Challenge one of the world’s premier beer competitions.
