Everards Brewery sees the light

Leicester, UK – A lighting upgrade project, designed by Chalmor, is helping Everards Brewery to reduce its carbon footprint and save around £15,000 per annum on lighting costs at its facility in Leicester. The project involved replacing existing lighting and introducing lighting controls to minimise energy wastage, taking account of activities at the brewery, which was established in 1849.

“Upgrading the lighting was one of a number of energy-saving initiatives we have implemented recently. It has brought significant additional benefits in terms of health and safety and improving the working environment for our workforce, as well as facilitating more accurate picking and reducing maintenance costs,” explained Steve Brassington, Everards’ engineering & compliance manager.
