The Lord Mayor of Sheffield, Councillor John Campbell, cut the ribbon on Thursday 2nd August to mark the reopening of the Cross Scythes pub a new partnership between Thornbridge brewery and Punch Taverns.
Punch has invested £200k in the refurbishment of the pub which Richard Woodward, senior regional operations partner for Punch, describes the reopening as an “exciting new partnership with Thornbridge that will see the brewery’s cask beers be available in a free of tie 10 year agreement”.
Thornbridge’s Pubs Operations manager, Mike Pidgeon says “the work carried out by Punch has been extensive and we are excited to be taking on the pub at this time. We have lots of plans to develop the Cross Scythes as a community hub and have been encouraged by the great response to the refurbishment from those living locally”
