90 Minute Tasting Sessions
With a world of styles and flavours to choose from, beer tasting can be great fun. But it is important to use all your senses; hearing; vision; smell and taste. Hearing? Just think of that ’schh’ as the bottle top comes off or the hiss and gurgle as a widget can is opened. Beer should look good. If you don’t give your beer a sniff how can you pick out the sweet, toasty, malty and toffee nose a classic British ale; the citrus hoppiness of an IPA or the cloves and bananas leaping out of a wheat beer! And use a glass with plenty of ‘headspace’.
Why not come and see for yourself and buy a ticket/s to attend one of the below!

This Course Covers:
What makes beer different, how to taste beer, beer styles (13 beers tasted), beer and food matching (practical), beer presentation, beer and lifestyle & the beer market.
You will learn about how beer is made, its ingredients and how they impact on flavour. You will sample a range of beer styles and pair some of them with different foods. You will explore some of the lifestyle aspects of beer drinking and the issues in the modern beer market. The course is a chance to ‘ask the brewer’ since our trainers are all experienced brewers who enjoy talking about the product as much as brewing it! Most of all we hope the course is informative and loads of fun.
