FyneFest

June 1, 2012toJune 4, 2012

Argyll micro-brewery Fyne Ales is holding a fantastic beer, food and music festival over the Jubilee bank holiday weekend.

Billed as FyneFest 2012, the four day event is taking place for the third year on Friday 1st to Monday 4th of June. The festival will be held in the brewery’s Cairndow grounds located within the stunning backdrop of Glen Fyne. The festival is seeking to build on the success of previous years with a fantastic mix of beer, food and music.

As well as having a large range of Fyne Ales’ own beers on over the weekend our brewing team have been working hard to source the finest beers from the best craft breweries in the UK. There are going to be over 100 beers on throughout the weekend from 25 different breweries, including beers from highly rated new brewery Magic Rock and the first casks north of the border from Freeminer.

Local food producers Loch Fyne Oysters and Winston Churchill Wild Venison will be providing fresh local produce such as pints of prawns and venison burgers. New additions to the food line up include; Taste of Galloway Hog Roast, Churrio and hot chocolate dip, Cairndow cakes, Home Ground Coffee and Eden Deli who will be selling their famous Stovies.

In addition to the music we will be holding a comedy night on the Friday night for the first time. This year there will be double the amount of bands with music being organized by Craig McIntyre of The Cottage Music Studio, with everything from Traditional Scottish through Big Band Sounds to Folk, Blues and Rock playing over the weekend.  The Camans, The Mandelas and Dr. Hip and the Blues Operation will all be returning after their huge success last year with a few new additions to the programme adding to the variety over the weekend.

Tickets for the event are available at £20 for the full weekend including the Friday comedy evening. Sunday tickets are available at £10 with comedy night tickets available at £5. Camping tickets are priced at £20 per pitch for the weekend.

Tickets can be booked by phone on 01499 600120, e-mail: elaine@fyneales.com or online at www.fynefest.com
