Looking for 'Love in a Pub' as Everards Launch New Valentines Competition
Everards are looking for couples to come forward with their top tales of tenderness as part of a new Valentines ‘Love in a Pub’ competition launched by the Leicestershire brewery.
Couples who first got together in a pub are being asked to submit their personal love stories for the ‘Love in a Pub’ competition. The best tale of love at first pint will win the top prize of an overnight stay and meal in an Everards pub.
The love stories can be submitted through Everards Facebook page or by sending them to valentines@everards.co.uk. The closing date for entries is Friday 8 February and the winner will be announced on Everards website and through Facebook and Twitter.
Erika Hardy, Everards Head of Marketing, said: “As part of our competition for Valentines Day we are looking to hear about how couples first came together in a pub.
“It does not necessarily have to be one of our pubs, although it would be great if it was, but generally how love first blossomed in that first meeting at the pub.
“We are looking for the most unusual or most incredible or entertaining romantic stories. With pubs being at the heart of the community and bringing people together, they are the original social networking sites. With that in mind we are hoping for some wonderful tales of how love first blossomed for people there.”
The Everards Valentines competition is open to over 18s only and meals and drinks up to the value of £100 will be provided. Breakfast is also provided free of charge and any additional costs will be billed by the pub. The further conditions of the competition are available on the Everards website.
