The Chiltern Brewery scoops yet another award.
The Chiltern Brewery is thrilled to have been awarded Winner of the Best Individual Beer Bottle Label at the SIBA 2013 Business Awards in Burton-upon-Trent on 15th March for its CAMRA Ruby Anniversary Ale.
“This is really great news and a real surprise. It is a reward for the vision and hard work put in by CAMRA, our design agency and everyone here at the brewery for this fabulous beer and inspirational packaging” said Head brewer and owner Tom Jenkinson.
The Chiltern Brewery was proud to be chosen by CAMRA as exclusive brewers to this special limited edition bottle conditioned beer brewed to celebrate the milestone of 40 years of CAMRA’s Good Beer Guide.
Tom Jenkinson, with the help of award winning editor of The Good Beer Guide, Roger Protz, created a sublime, rich ruby ale that showcased the finest of British hops and grains heralding a revival of this bastion of great beer styles.
Such a momentous beer warranted distinctive craft packaging.
The Chiltern Brewery appointed and worked closely with Bristol based design agency, Dirty Design, to create a very special beer bottle label. Dirty Design took their inspiration from the beer itself and the significance of the landmark occasion of the 40th edition of CAMRA’s Good Beer Guide.
The result was this beautiful and now award winning bottle label.
Crafted from matt wine label material and using gold foiling to reinforce the sense of celebration and premium positioning, the label champions the past 40 years of the Good Beer Guide but looks forward to a bright and fruitful future.
In practical and end user terms the bottle label for Ruby Anniversary Ale conveys much important information simply and attractively, succinctly reinforcing the message of the 40 year celebration, while reflecting The Chiltern Brewery’s establishing principles of true quality and innovation without compromise.
Tom Jenkinson says. “We believe the distinctive red letters ‘40’ engage the onlooker; convey a true sense of achievement and celebration, and bring a feeling of real excitement in going forward.”
