Moorhouse’s Golf Day Success
Award winning Moorhouse’s Brewery enjoyed its eleventh annual golf competition at Burnley Golf Club.
With 20 teams, 80 players from the brewery, customers and suppliers took part in the charity event, which raised £700 for Pendleside Hospice with a raffle of prizes donated by suppliers.
The Lower Buck team from Waddington won the day while J Feber from the Boars Head, Rossendale, too
k the top spot as individual player of the contest with a score of 38. The Longest Drive title went to Mike Ramsden of Roggerham Gate, while Nearest Pin was Lee Bunting, also of Roggerham Gate. Presenting the winners for Moorhouse’s was chairman Bill Parkinson (see photographs).
David Grant, managing director, said: “This was another successful competition for us at Burnley Golf Club. We were very pleased to again support one of our excellent free trade club customers. We had a great day and were delighted to once again raise funds for Pendleside Hospice.”
In 2011 Moorhouse’s opened a new £4.2m brewing complex in Accrington Road, Burnley, in an ambitious move to expand sales of its famous ‘Pendle Witch’ cask ales across the North West and throughout the UK
