Pub of the Year award for Royal Exchange
The Royal Exchange in Stone has been crowned Pub of the Year by beer lovers in Mid Staffordshire.
The Titanic Brewery pub in Radford Street was voted as the area’s star bar by members of Camra’s Heart of Staffordshire branch. The Royal Exchange is well known for its well kept beer, local pub food and friendly local pub atmosphere. It plays host to several clubs and societies, helping to put the pub at the heart of the Stone community.
“The Royal Exchange has been a big success story for Titanic,” said brewery director Dave Bott. “Our vision has always been to provide local pubs where people of all ages can meet to enjoy good local produce and to talk. We are proud of the Royal Exchange and how it has grown to become part of the community.
“It serves as a venue for several societies in the town, including the Yarn of Ale Knitting Group and Stone Photographers. The pub also holds regular events such as the Monday night jazz club. The Camra award is also pleasing recognition for the quality of the beer and the way the pub staff led by landlady Michelle Hughes serve it.”
Camra members will present the award at the Royal Exchange on 8th August at 7.30pm.
