Complete Beer line for CBMS
CBMS exhibited for the first time at this year’s SIBA exhibition where they showed their range of Chinese bottling and brewing equipment that is ideal for both microbrewers and larger brewers who wish to install a small line for new product launches.
One of the first visitors to the CBMS stand was Keith Wright who founded the George Wright Brewing Company, based in Rainford, Merseyside in 2003. From small beginnings as a microbrewer, the brewery started as a 2½-barrel system, this was quickly upgraded to a 5-barrel system and most recently to a new 7000 sq ft building with a fully computerised 25-barrel system producing a wide range of craft ales.
Having won a number of brewing awards, not least a Silver at the Great British Beer Festival competition, Keith decided to invest in a small bottling line to enable him to contract bottle 400 litre batch sizes from the very smallest of microbreweries.
Following the show Keith placed an order with CBMS for a rinser/filler/crowner, 6/6/1, rated at 600 b.p.h. and a 500-litre beer carbonator with change parts for 330ml and 500ml bottles. As a semi automatic line the contract for CBMS also includes a hand loading station for empty bottles, all empty and full bottle conveyors and a hand loading station for filled bottles into pre-erected cartons.
Richard Portman Director of CBMS said, “This was the first time that a UK audience were able to see the quality of the Huanyu range of bottling equipment. We received many leads from the show and the George Wright order was the first with other orders following during the course of the exhibition”.
The line is due for installation at the end of the summer.
