There are not many breweries that can name drop superstar acts like Coldplay, Lewis Watson, Royal Blood, Conor Maynard, Chas ‘n’ Dave and Becky Hill for a Monday night staff party – but Butcombe owned, ‘Ring O’ Bells’ in Somerset village of Compton Martin did just that. The private gig, organised by local resident and chairman of Coldplay’s record company, Miles Leonard, arranged the WarnerBros/Parlophone staff party and some of the locals were also invited.
Guy Newell, Butcombe’s managing director said “the Ring O’ Bells team are getting used to hosting megastar guests – in 2010 Miles organised for Kylie Minogue to perform along with some of her record label mates including Eliza Doolittle and Tinie Tempah. I’m delighted to report that these icons enjoy a great pint of Butcombe in the pub after their gigs.”
