Dublin Craft Beer Cup 2014
The Alltech International Craft Brews and Food Fair presents the second annual Dublin Cup Craft Beer Competition. This is an international craft beer competition showcasing the best beers in their categories from all around the globe. Judged by a panel of industry experts, the winner of each category then goes into direct competition to contend for the prestigious Dublin Craft Beer Cup. Last year’s competition drew entrants from USA, Mexico, UK, Ireland, China, India and Canada to name but a few and this year’s competition will see an even larger contingent of entrants. Beer Styles
Ales:
Styles of British Origin – IPA, Classic English Pale Ale, Bitters, Brown Ales, etc.
Styles of Irish Origin – Stouts, Porters, Irish Red Ale, etc.
Styles of Belgian and French Origin – Belgian sours, lambics, Saisons etc.
Styles of German Origin – Hefeweizen, Kolsch, Weiss, Altbier, etc.
New World Style Ales – American Pale Ale, American IPA, etc.
Others – Ciders and other brews that don’t fall into the above categories
Lagers:
Styles of European/German Origin – Bock, Maibock, Marzen, Dunkel, Pilsners, etc.
New World Style Lagers – American Pilsner, American Amber Lager, Light Lager, etc.
The event will take place on the 4th and 5th of February. Online registration closes on the 22nd of January.
