Bollington Brewing Company opens new pub in Poynton.
The multi-award winning Bollington Brewing Company is celebrating the successful launch of its third pub, The Cask Tavern, on Park Lane in Poynton, Cheshire.

Following on from the Vale Inn in Bollington and The Park Tavern in Macclesfield, The Cask Tavern will serve a variety of carefully chosen beers, ciders and wines (many brewed locally) including 6 Bollington Beers, 2 real ciders, draught Prosecco and the craft-brewed English lager, Moravka, which is produced locally in High Peak to a traditional Czech recipe.

The Cask Tavern has undergone three months of extensive refurbishment and now boasts a handcrafted oak bar with seating inside for about 60 customers and additional standing room, as well as comfortable tables and benches outside.
Established in 2009, The Bollington Brewing Company followed on from the successful reopening of The Vale Inn four years earlier, by husband and wife team Lee and Kirsten Wainwright. Placing the pub at the heart of the community, the couple decided to set up their own brewery and were joined by Lee’s brother, Kym Wainwright, as Head Brewer. Within a year, he had been awarded both Gold and Silver in the ‘Champion Beer of Cheshire’ 2009 Awards, and since then the company has gone from strength to strength.
Today The Bollington Brewing Company brews 14 different types of beer, including the best-selling Bollington Best and their Winter Reserve Bitter, which won Gold at last year’s CAMRA ‘National Winter Ales Festival’ in Manchester.
Recently, The Vale Inn won ‘Northwest Cider Pub of the Year’ 2013, beating off stiff competition in Merseyside, the Wirral and the whole of Cheshire. The pub has two pumps dedicated to real cider and perry, which is now as popular as lager among British drinkers.
