Bollington Brewing Company serves ale with Olympians!
The Bollington Brewing Company took part in the inaugural Manchester Beer and Cider Festival at the Olympic Velodrome at The National Cycling Centre in Manchester last month.
This unique event was attended by hundreds of real ale enthusiasts from all over the country who were treated to the spectacle of Team GB whizzing round the track in training as they quaffed their beer!
Sixteen bars were placed in the centre of the Velodrome track serving beer and cider from a huge range of craft breweries from around the UK.
Organised by CAMRA, the beer and cider festival was a great opportunity for the Bollington Brewing Company to set out its stall. The brewery took seven of their best-selling beers, including the most recent award-winning Winter Reserve, and held popular ‘Meet The Brewer’ sessions throughout the four-day event. The Company’s Director is Lee Wainwright, who says:
“We were delighted to take part in the Festival, and the venue certainly made it a unique and special occasion. As one of the main sponsors we were really pleased with all the positive feedback, and it was great to meet so many young and enthusiastic punters. We look forward to next year’s event, and so long as they don’t ask us to start serving beer on bikes we’ll be fine!”
