Devon Brewery Gives The Poppy Appleal A Helping Hand
Otter Brewery have presented a cheque to the Royal British Legion as part of their ongoing support for the Poppy Appeal.
The donation comes from sales of Poppy Otter through November and December. For every firkin that was sold to the pub trade the brewery donated £6.80 (the equivalent of 10p from every pint that was poured).
Poppy Otter is a delicious 5% beer, dark ruby in colour and has a well-balanced flavour with a bittersweet chocolate edge that comes from the Fuggles and Challenger hops used by Head Brewer Keith Bennett.
The cheque for £306 was presented to the Royal British Legion’s Devon County Chairman Ralph Howard-Williams at Otter Brewery.
Patrick McCaig commented: “Our drinkers really are a great bunch and as a brewery we couldn’t think of a better way to help those who support our Armed Forces at a time when they could do with a little extra help. A big thank you to everyone who did their bit.”
