Croxsons to showcase new beer bottles at BeerX
Packaging experts Croxsons are launching a new range of beer bottles, specially selected for the growing independent brewing sector, at SIBA’s BeerX event later this week.
The new bottles will be available for BeerX visitors to view at Croxsons’ stand. They are designed to fill the current gap between standard 350ml or 500ml bottles and top-end premium products. With a total of 10 bottles in different shapes, sizes and colours, the range offers brewers an opportunity to create standout for their brand at an affordable price.
Chief operating officer Tim Croxson said, “There hasn’t been a huge amount of innovation in beer bottle design in recent years, but we knew from our conversations with customers that there was a need for something new and different.
“The new range will, we believe, meet the needs of the many brewers who want to create more impact for their beers than a standard bottle can achieve, but aren’t able to justify the high cost and minimum runs associated with a premium bottle.
“Typically, these bottles are going to appeal to brewers whose bottled business has grown to the point where they are building distribution beyond their heartland, meaning standout on the supermarket shelf or chiller becomes even more important.”
The range comprises 500ml and 330ml bottles in green, amber and flint and in different shapes and colours, including a version of the ‘Curvy’ bottle, which is used for the recently-launched Harry Brompton’s Alcoholic London Ice Tea.
Croxson added, “This is a range of interesting, quality bottles, reasonably priced for small brewers. We are delighted to be showcasing them at BeerX and look forward to supplying these to many of our customers within the SIBA ranks.
