Salopian receives six awards at Beerx
Salopian Brewery continued its rich vein of form at the SIBA National Beer Competition collecting six awards in the prestigious beer competition, the most received by any brewery. It means that the brewery has now racked up 14 awards in the past three years at the SIBA grand finals.
Bottled Oracle in the golden beer category was stand out performer collecting the Gold award for the second year in succession and ultimately came out as the runner up overall in the bottle beer completion. This success followed on from achieving the Best Ale up to 5% in the International Beer Challenge.
In the cask competition Lemon Dream, Golden Thread & Automaton all received silver awards in their respective classes. The brewery also received its first ever keg award with Lemon Dream picking up a bronze in the Specialty class.
Wilf Nelson MD at Salopian Brewery stated that “the consistency shown by the brewery over the past three years is an illustration of the dedication taken by all the team to maintain the highest standards in brewing and to continually strive
to brew beers of the highest standards and quality and that ooze drinkability.”
The awards come at busy time for the brewery with a move to a new site on going for later in the year with a upgrade to a new 50 barrel plant.
