Oates Brewery Penny Farthing launch in aid of Yorkshire Air Ambulance
Halifax based Oates Brewing Co. have launched a beer in aid of Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
The Beer named Penny Farthing after the fun looking old cycle of yesteryear, is a low alcohol fruity blonde beer with mouthfuls of flavour.
Managing Director of Oates Brewing Mark Oates said, “ when we heard that Yorkshire Air Ambulance needed to lease in a third helicopter during Le Tour coming to Yorkshire in July we decided to help raise funds towards its cost.”
Launching the beer on Wednesday evening at The Old Bridge Inn in Ripponden, it will now be available throughout May June and July in pubs and clubs around Yorkshire and the route of Le Tour. Whilst celebrating the coming of the Grand Depart 2014 it is hoped many hundreds of pounds will be raised by the sale of the beer.
Managing Director Mark Oates and Head brewer Anthony Barrett have designed the beer to be a light summer pale ale.
“ Doffing a cap to all the crew of the YAA and all the hard work that they do we hope that the real ale fans in our area will take to the beer and get behind the fundraising effort over the next three months “
Talking about the beer head brewer Anthony Barrett said, “It’s a lovely yellow beer with a bright yellow label raising funds for bright yellow helicopters whilst celebrating cyclists with the bright yellow jerseys as they peddle through our region, What could be a better combination”
Penny Farthing available through May June and July from Oates Brewing of Halifax.
