New management line up at Castle Rock
Colin Wilde, managing director at Nottingham’s Castle Rock Brewery, has announced changes to the operational and senior management line up of the real ale brewing and pub operating company.
“I am delighted that we have secured and extended the services of Geoff Newton. Previously acting as our non-executive chairman, he is broadening his scope and commitment and takes up the post of chairman full time.
“His appointment is one of a number we’ve made this month with the single aim of building the management team to further establish and grow both our pub operating and real ale brewing businesses,” says Colin.
In other changes, Vicki Saxby, formerly the company’s finance director becomes operations director following Steve Bramley’s retirement. Jon Cox takes up the newly created head of finance position with Scott Ryder and Sarah Halpin continuing in their sales, and training and development roles. The executive board is completed by Pete Brettell who will continue in his role as non-executive director in charge of the technical aspects of the brewery’s expansion.
“Having the right people in the right roles is crucial and I’m delighted that Geoff will be spending more of his time with us. We’re keen to maximise the potential that our great people, great beers and great pubs offer and, buoyed by consumer demand and reinvigorated global interest in beer, we’re confident the building blocks are in place to do even more of what we do well.”
