Ossian secures Co-operative and SPAR Deals for Inveralmond Brewery
Inveralmond Brewery, an independent brewer of craft beers based in Perth, has agreed two separate distribution deals with The Co-operative and SPAR which will see their signature brand Ossian available in hundreds of retail outlets across Scotland.
Ossian has racked up numerous industry awards since it was first brewed in 1997, including CAMRA’s Supreme Champion Beer of Scotland and Champion Golden Ale of Scotland. The full-bodied beer has a fruity flavour with distinct nutty tones and hoppy, spritzy, orange aromas. In 2013 it was also brought out in craft keg to satisfy demand in on-trade markets.
The Co-operative is currently the UK’s largest mutual business, operating 4,500 retail outlets across the UK, and SPAR is the UK’s leading convenience store boasting 2400 stores in its UK portfolio. Both companies maintain an ethos of supporting British produce and will be ensuring that Ossian is on the shelves for their customers with immediate effect.
Bob Hogg, Commercial Director of The Inveralmond Brewery, commented
“We are absolutely delighted that the Co-operative and SPAR have decided to stock Ossian. Both have considerable networks of stores, and are well known for supporting smaller operators who deliver quality products. This is likely to extend our reach to new customers and enhance the popularity of one of Scotland’s most popular craft beers.”
With over a century’s collective brewing experience, Inveralmond brewery is well respected in the craft beer movement for their quality product lines and their brewing excellence.
