Atom Brewing Hull wins local business start up award
Every year the businesses of East Yorkshire come together to award the best businesses of the region at the Hull Daily Mail Business Awards to celebrate a successful year.
The ceremony at the Willerby Manor Hotel featured a speech from politician Lord Mandelson, the High Steward of Hull and was hosted by TV presenter Helen Fospero.
One of the most significant awards and competitive is the best new start up award.
After praising both finalists, the judges signalled out Atom Brewing Co as an example of a business with a clear and defined strategy allied to passion and skill. Highlighting a growth of 50% monthly in sales and gaining recognition both nationally and internationally.
“To be given this award in our first 11 months of trading is fantastic, it has a been a whirlwind first year with 16 different beers, over 60 batches made, new staff, beer schools, export and national sales. ” Allan Rice, Co-founder at Atom Brewing Co.
Allan went on to say; “Keep your eyes peeled, as we bring our first year to a close and move into year 2 we are not going to rest on our laurels. Think more beers, more bottles, more tours, more beer schools, more meet the brewers, more tanks…And some super special plans you’ll just have to wait to see”
There were 14 winners on the night, picked out by experienced judges with a detailed knowledge of the regions business scene.
