Musicians Unite To Launch Brewery Crowdfunding Campaign
Signature Brew, the London-based brewery responsible for creating music-inspired beers in a bid to transform the lacklustre quality of beer in music venues is expanding. The expansion is being funded by artists and fans who have supported the company from the start, through a crowdfunding campaign on Crowdcube.com.
Investors include Enter Shikari, Frank Turner, Baby Godzilla, Chicane, HooDoo Pop, Ed Harcourt, Scroobius Pip, Jake Morley, Great Cynics, JB Conspiracy, and Chas Palmer-Williams
Signature Brew has purchased a 10bbl brewhouse from neighbours Five Points Brewery, and is due to be installed at their prepared site in Leyton throughout March, giving 3,500HL of annual capacity. This will allow them to meet the unprecedented demand for their music-inspired brews and beers made in collaboration with musicians.
Founded in Autumn 2011 by cousins Sam McGregor and Tom Bott, Signature Brew has since sold beer in to some of the largest music venues in the UK, and been listed nationally in Morrisons. The last 12 months have seen rapid growth with regular exports taking off and regional deliveries leaving the company unable to keep up with demand.
Signature Brew co-founder Sam McGregor said, “Working closely with artists has always been at the heart of everything that Signature Brew does. We’re excited to be able to count some of our favourite musicians amongst our shareholders – as well as opening up this opportunity to music and beer fans alike.”
Minimum investments start at £10 and as well as owning shares in the brewery investor perks include beer discounts, launch parties with the artists and even the opportunity to brew your own custom beer.
