Our Beer Day on Saturday 19th September raised £600 for Headway Devon
An informal day of Beer, Barbecue, Music, Brewery Tours and just generally relaxing with friends old and new in the autumn sunshine raised £600 for Headway Devon.
It was great to see so many people from the village and much further away come to see what we do up Brewery Hill in Silverton; thanks to the musicians who performed for beer & burgers, to our volunteer chefs who did sterling work on the barbecue, to James, John & Will for getting the place visitor friendly, to the minibus drivers who brought you all up from the village, to many others who helped us tidy the place up or lent us stuff, to the local butcher who made the wonderful beef & ale sausages with our Winter Glow, to the hire company that still has the pleasure of emptying the portable loos (& take them away) and above to all of you who came along – we didn’t charge for any of the beer or food consumed on the day, but you did dig deep for the Headway Devon charity buckets.
