Wood's bottle a Beauty!
Wood Brewery is launching a bottled version of Shropshire Hills Beauty, its increasingly popular cask conditioned draught beer.
South Shropshire brewers Wood’s created the 4.2% ABV draught beer in 2008 as a limited edition to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Beauty proved so popular that Wood’s have continued to brew it as a draught cask ale, with sales growing steadily over the years.
“Beauty has built a good following in pubs, so it was logical for us to extend the brand into bottles to enable take-home outlets to offer it too,” said Wood’s Sales Manager James Owens. “We’ve already had a very favourable initial reaction to trials of the bottled version and we’re confident it will do well alongside our other bottled regulars like Shropshire Lad and Shropshire Lass.”
Beauty in bottles maintains the burnished look, smooth, rounded taste and 4.2% strength of the draught beer.
* Meanwhile, Wood’s first ever bottled stout, Ebony, is proving very popular. The beer was brewed as one of three limited editions throughout 2015 to celebrate Wood’s 35 years in brewing.
