2016 marks an award-winning year for Red Rock Brewery!
Established in 2006 by father and son John and Lewis Parkes, Red Rock Brewery has built a reputation over the last decade for producing some of the most innovative beers in the South West region. One of only two Devon breweries in the prestigious Cask Marque national award scheme, 2016 welcomed a SALSA accreditation to add to the brewery’s list of accolades.
“The SALSA accreditation is great news for our brewery”, says John “There are an increasing number of our customers that insist on this gold standard of producing and it presents us with some great opportunities for business development throughout the South West, which is our aim in 2017”.
From humble beginnings, producing a small range of traditional ales, the brewery’s range of beers has grown as the brewery has expanded. A £15000 grant received from the South West Regional Growth Fund, assisted the brewery in expanding into a second barn, thus increasing its capacity and the range of beers on offer. The recent introduction of the new ‘craft’ and ‘slow’ ranges proved fruitful with SIBA awarding Gold and Silver for the popular Pilsner Craft and Elderflower IPA Slow beers at last year’s regional excellence awards.
“SIBA would like to congratulate Red Rock Brewery on achieving SALSA accreditation and on their recent award wins. It’s clear that their commitment to quality and conistency is paying dividends and I’m sure this will only continue into 2017.” Neil Walker, SIBA spokesperson
The new ranges have proved extremely popular with trade buyers and consumers when launched at leading street food and Christmas markets in Exeter and Bath. Further investment plans, look set to build on the successes of 2016, including the launch of a brand new website.
