ROYAL NAVY & ROYAL MARINES CHARITY ANNOUNCES POWDER MONKEY BREWING CO AS GOLD BRIDGE PARTNER

The Royal Navy & Royal Marines Charity (RNRMC) is proud to welcome Hampshire-based Powder Monkey Brewing Co. to its Bridge Partnership scheme as a Gold Partner.

Over the past six months, Powder Monkey Brewing Co. has generously supported the charity through in-kind contributions, providing refreshments and resources at key flagship events. Their invaluable assistance has earned them the prestigious status of Gold Partner.

As an official Gold Partner, Powder Monkey Brewing Co. will play a crucial role in furthering the RNRMC’s mission to deliver lifelong support to sailors, marines, and their families—past, present, and future.

Powder Monkey Brewing Co operates from the historic Naval Gunpowder Store at Priddy’s Hard in Gosport. Co-founder Andy Burdon discovered and restored the building from its semi-derelict state in 2019. Head Brewer, Mark Hamblin, and the rest of the team have seen the brewery flourish since its launch in 2021, alongside its waterfront Tap Room bar. Since day one, Powder Monkey has crafted an impressive array of distinctive brews, deeply rooted in naval heritage.

This partnership marks a strengthening of the already close relationship between the RNRMC and Powder Monkey Brewing Co., which has played a key role in several of the charity’s flagship events. Notably, the brewery created a special edition beer, ‘The Sky’s the Limit,’ for the RNRMC’s major fundraising event on board HMS Prince of Wales in June. Powder Monkey was also a proud sponsor of the renowned Beating Retreat ceremony at Horseguards Parade in London this summer.

About their decision to join the RNRMC Bridge Partnership, Co-Founder and Group CEO, Andy Burdon said:

“Having engaged with a number of areas of our Armed Forces, in particular the Royal Navy, we have become passionate about supporting them. Working with the RNRMC has been a pleasure, enabling us to increase our support, whilst delivering brand awareness has been fantastic. We feel the journey has just begun and are looking forward to where this takes us.”

Dawn Ingram, Director of Fundraising for the Royal Navy & Royal Marines Charity said:

“It has been a true pleasure collaborating with Andy and the team at Powder Monkey Brewing Co. over the past year. I am excited to officially welcome them as a Gold Bridge Partner. Their unwavering commitment and support for the charity and the wider armed forces community is truly remarkable”.

The Bridge Partnership is a strategic alliance between companies and the RNRMC, offering organisations like Powder Monkey the opportunity to actively contribute to the charity’s vision: a world where sailors, marines, and their families are valued, and supported throughout their lives. This collaboration underscores the brewery’s dedication to supporting the naval community in an area synonymous with the home of the Royal Navy.
