Muntons in Stowmarket Targets UK Craft Beer Market
Muntons malsters has made two new appointments in recognition of the rapidly growing market for regional craft beers.
The Stowmarket firm has appointed Sam Hoad and Stuart Robson as sale executives.
Mr Hoad will be responsible for Munton’s craft brewery sales in the North of England and Scotland while Mr Robson will be in charge of its Southern brewers.
“The UK Craft brewing sector has grown considerably over the past few years, with many new breweries opening as demand for regional craft beers steadily grows,” said a company statement.
“These new appointments recognise the importance of this growing market.”
Mr Hoad is a former graduate management trainee at Muntons site in Bridlington, East Yorks, and has workedin the microbrewing industry.
Mr Robson previously owned and operated his own craft brewing business in South Africa.
Muntons purchase more than 250,000 tonnes of UK assured grains each year and have a combined output of more than 220,000 tonnes of malt and malted products per annum.
