DENWEL Deliver Manual Carbonation for Calvors Lager
Last week, the factory acceptance test of DENWEL’s 5,000 litre per hour manual inline carbonator for Calvors Lager was successfully performed at the DENWEL factory in Prague.
All of the DENWEL units are bespoke to the requirements of the brewer, so when Alec from Clavors asked for a second pump outlet so that he could use the pump independently of the carbonation system this was easily achieved.
The unit works using DENWEL’s patented Venturi injector, larger sizes of which can be found in Staropramen, Budvar, Labatts, Pilsner Urquell and many other breweries owned by the giants of our industry. The Venturi works by temporarily reducing the pressure of the beer while injecting CO2 behind the beer flow. This causes the CO2 to be sucked into solution with minimal pressure loss and no loss of CO2. As this is also a closed system with no atomisation of the beer, there are also no losses of the volatile flavour compounds found in hop aroma.
Edward Scott from Ambro Systems, the UK agent for DENWEL, supervised the FAT on behalf of Calvors Lager. He can be contacted for information on the system on 01905759714 or 07841920342 as well as by email on edward@ambro-systems.co.uk. DENWEL and Ambro Systems will be at BeerX on stand 37.
