Contract bottling? – be aware of legislation changes this year
The new Food Information to Consumers Regulations that come into force on 13th December this year changes the legal obligations with regard to contract packaging. Please be aware that if you are contract bottling, going forward it will now be your legal responsibility to take action should you become aware that your client’s labels are not legally compliant. As such, we recommend that you look at the labels in more detail to check for errors, particularly around allergen labelling.
