Commercial Support of Saints Steps up a Beer
The Inveralmond Brewery in Perth has announced that their support of home team St Johnstone will step up a beer this year – with a commercial deal that will see loyal Saints fans enjoy their beers at a discount, as well as pitch side signage and Inveralmond’s specialist brews served on the grounds on McDiarmid Park this season.
The artisan brewery stuck its colours to the cask earlier this year in support of St Johnstone’s successful bid for the Scottish Cup. Their head brewer, Ken Duncan, created a BLUE beer – The Saints 130 Ale – that was drunk by many fans as they watched their team soar to victory on 17th May.
This latest development in the relationship between the Brewery and the Club has been hailed as a natural progression by Bob Hogg, Commercial Director for Inveralmond Brewery. He commented:
“We are delighted to extend our support of the home team with a commercial deal that will not only see our bottled beers served at McDiarmid Park, but will also offer Saints Season Ticket Holders the opportunity for an ongoing discount on beer purchased directly from our Brewery, which is literally down the road from the stadium grounds.”
“We were very proud to support St Johnstone in their Scottish Cup bid last year, and we’ll be behind them every step of the way this season.”
Fiona MacLeod, Sales & Events Manager from St Johnstone Football Club commented:
“We are very excited about having Inveralmond Brewery on board as one of our valued commercial partners this season. There’s a real affinity between their brand and ours, and our fans are still talking about the blue beer that was brewed specifically for the Cup Final in May. We are really excited about working with them.”
All St Johnstone Season Ticket Holders aged 18 or over are now entitled to 10% discount in the Brewery when they show their season ticket pass. For details on how to visit the Brewery, now voted by TripAdvisor users as one of the top things to do in Perth, visit www.inveralmond-brewery.co.uk
