Award Winning Craft Brewery Becomes An Official Supplier Of The BMW PGA Golf Championship
West Berkshire Brewery are overjoyed to be the official ale supplier for this year’s
BMW PGA Championship.
Held at Wentworth from 21st May to 24th May this is the flagship tournament of the European Tour and they are expecting over 100,000 people to attend.
This is the first time that a local brewery has been selected as the official ale supplier; an exciting move away from big name brands.
West Berkshire Brewery’s (WBB) Saazbrucker Pilsner and Good Old Boy will be available in: The BMW Showstage Bar, The 18th Green Hospitality Unit, The BMW Owners’ Lounge, The Moet Brasserie, The Media Centre and The Players’ Lounge.
The tournament is set to be a thriller. World number one Rory McIlroy is returning as defending champion and will be joined by a stellar field of golfing names.
2015 sees WBB celebrate their 20th anniversary. The multi-award winning, classic bitter, Good Old Boy (4% ABV), is a perennial favourite. This flagship beer has been a best seller since first brewed in 1995.
Jamie Birkmyre, European Tour Director said, “We are delighted to join forces with West Berkshire Brewery to be the official ale supplier for the 2015 BMW PGA Championship. We are sure that our visitors to the PGA will enjoy the beers from this independent brewery”.
James Tomlinson, Sales Director at WBB said, “It’s fantastic to be the official ale supplier for such a prestigious golfing event. It’s a great way to spread the word about our beers beyond our usual area of trading”.
