Bragdy Twt Lol

Philip is from the Rhondda Valley and founded Bragdy Twt Lol – The Trefforest Brewery in 2015. Initially working in the IT industry, he made the switch to follow his lifelong passion for real ale and brewing.
Fast forward from 2015, Bragdy Twt Lol is a multiple award-winning brewery with one of his beers winning Gold for Dreigiau’r Diafol / Diablo Dragons in the IPA category at GBBF in 2023. His brewery is open to the public on Friday, where you immerse yourself by sitting amongst the tanks and casks and order a beer from the small taproom. Iechyd da!

Sara Webber

Brains Brewery

Sara Leigh Webber grew up surrounded by the world of brewing, with a father known for his bold homebrews and a home near the iconic Brains Brewery in Cardiff. She fondly recalls stepping off the train and being greeted by the familiar aroma of hops wafting through the city centre, a scent that solidified her dream to one day work for Brains. That dream came true in 2019 when Sara began her career in brewing, managing the pub estate. Her journey took her briefly to Marston’s as part of an integration team, but her heart belonged in Wales, and in 2023, she returned to the senior team at Brains as Head of Marketing.
When she’s not leading marketing strategies, Sara can be found cold water dipping at Barry or Porthcawl beach, no matter the season. A qualified masseuse and aromatherapist, she has a deep interest in holistic wellness. Fun fact: Sara’s life story includes some unexpected twists, including seven years in prison (as a non-operational governor)—an experience she’s always happy to share over a pint.
