Production – various
Beartown has been making beer that transcends generations since 1994. We’re working hard to spread the Beartown ethos across the UK, growing 40% last year, and aiming to do the same this year.
We brew on a modern 40hl three-vessel kit and we’ve recently invested in some additional tanks which will allow a much needed lift in volume produced. Therefore we need to bolster our team and we are now on the hunt for some new members to add to our production team, with immediate effect.
We are keen to hear from all candidates at this point, whether you’ve worked hot side, cold side, or general brewing but we would prioritise candidates who have at least 3 years’ brewing experience and who either have or are working towards their GCB or equivalent.
We will be looking to position you in the thick of our team, sitting alongside and working closely with our existing lead brewer, reporting directly to our head brewer and working as part of our team of 19 brewery staff.
Some of the key skills we need are listed below.
- Brewing experience is essential.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Leadership skills and the ability to motivate staff.
- A passion for brewing and developing new beers.
- Physically fit and able to lift weights of up to 30 kilograms.
- Personable and able to communicate well with customers.
- Problem solving skills.
- Some mechanical knowledge and familiarity with maintaining brewery equipment.
- Quality assurance skills and drive for continual improvement.
Because we believe employees who are satisfied, secure and happy with other areas of their lives are more likely to bring positive energy to work, we try our hardest to look after them.
Perks of the job include.
- Opportunities to develop within a thriving company.
- Beer allowance for home.
- 24 hour access to Spectrum – mental and physical health support package.
- Afterwork beers in the Den.
- Financial health annual consultation.
