Come and join our growing team as we look for a Dray Driver who will also assist the brewery team. This position will suit a hard working, conscientious person who is a team player, but also able to operate independently when out delivering. The role will focus on delivering our beer in a safe manner to local accounts across East Anglia, helping to manage the beer store, as well as assisting with the preparation of casks and kegs for filling. Like all members of our small team, there will be plenty of opportunities to get involved with all aspects of the brewery.
Ampersand Brew Co is a small family run brewery founded in 2017 based in Diss, South Norfolk. We brew a diverse range of beers across cask, keg and can packaging formats, which we distribute both locally and across the UK. We have steadily grown year on year since we were founded with a focus on brewing high quality products and running an ethical business.
Role:
- Delivery of our beer to our East Anglian accounts driving one of our two vans
- Preparation of the days deliveries ensuring correct stock rotation and managing the vans payload
- Helping to prepare delivery routes with the Sales team to ensure efficient use of time and the collection of empties when required.
- Represent Ampersand during delivery drops to our customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Effective communication of issues or errors back to the Sales / Brewery team.
- Using the brewery management software to log all deliveries and returns
- Maintaining a clean and tidy vehicle and yard
- Assisting the Brewery team with washing and preparing casks / kegs for filling
- Helping the Sales / Brewery team to build pallets and orders for 3rd party deliveries
- Assisting the brewery team around the brewery.
- Opportunity to represent the brewery at festivals, events and collaborations
Education & Skills :
- A full clean driving licence (Proven experience of driving vans preferred)
- A Fork Lift Licence (desirable, but we will offer training to the right candidate)
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as part of daily operations
- A good team player who is also able to operate independently
- Conscientious with good time management and the ability to communicate effectively with our customers and members of staff
- Enjoy being part of a busy, hard-working team and able to muck in when required
- A willingness to learn and develop
